I know many of you are interested in the wildlife around the Farm and I am pleased to say that Coldharbour Farm has been selected as a prime habitat for the reintroduction of the short haired bumble bee  – last seen in the UK in 1988!  See the full story on the diary entry called Bumble Bees are coming Home!

Coldharbour Cottage has won again ! Last year on the 22nd October the cottage scooped up the Gold Award for the best Self Catering Holiday of the Year ! It was a big night out – I’m still taking it all in!  See the diary entry called ‘The Finals‘  for more details !

Coldharbour Cottage also won the first prize for the “Tourism ExSellence Award” from the South East Tourist Board in October 2007. In 2008 a feature story about the Cottage and the Country Tours was mentioned in the popular Activ magazine. In May 2009 the cottage was featured in the Travel Section of the Guardian National Newspaper.

The cottage was completely renovated in 2006. All the original features have been restored or replaced by local craftsmen. There are original oak beams throughout the cottage which are hundreds of years old. A large inglenook log fireplace dominates the living room, with its original stone floor and walls, a fantastic place to relax. The cottage can sleep up to 6 people.

The flagstone floored kitchen is well equiped with a traditional AGA oven and will soon feature a real working baker’s oven set in the wall.

The master bedroom has a queen size homestead bed with en suite shower. The second bedroom has two singles or a double bed available. This room has an en-suite toilet.

The real English Parlour room has a sofa bed for additional guests.

The Garden Room with its stunning views is a favourite among the guests who stay at the cottage.
