NEW : Goshawks Adventure at Coldharbour Farm for 2014

Just recently we have had Paul and his team up on the farm flying their hawks. These are amazing creatures, soaring high up in the sky above the stone cliff. These birds are just learning to fly and are as young as 12 weeks old.  The open fields and skies at Coldharbour are ideal for the training and once fully developed these birds can be huge. Paul has some birds which he flies which are over 20 years old – the real experts. A large goshawk is almost the size of a buzzard and can have a fierce expression when close up. Its broad wings enable it to hunt at high speed, weaving in and out of trees, and its long legs and talons can catch its prey in flight. The female is substantially larger than the male.

We can set up a visit with Paul on your next stay at Coldharbour Cottage, he would bring along up to 5 birds and would be delighted to let you get close up to these wonderful creatures and watch them soar into the sky.

Please contact us for further information. Paul is a busy man so we need to book early !
