We started the year so well, with high hopes and lots of bookings. We were so excited to welcome returning guests and new guests too from near and far.
It wasn’t until March that it all changed, as we all know the terrible Covid 19 hit the nations of the earth. What a sobering time with lockdowns, restrictions and a ban on travelling to many places having a severe impact on our lives. We can’t help thinking of all those people who have suffered directly with the virus and we really hope that with vaccines and other treatments the disease will soon be a distant memory.
Life on the farm goes on and we have lots of new projects completed, on the go and in the pipeline. It doesn’t seem right to list them all because our little cottage has been closed for much of the year due to the lockdowns so we thought it right to just remember all the lovely guests that have stayed, had to cancel and those who had to postpone their visit to Coldharbour.
Oh all right then, I will tell you one thing which I can’t keep a secret. Our new log cabin is being built and we hope to open for bookings in April 2021 (ready for my birthday! hahaha!) – look out for our new booking platform in the spring. The cabin will be self catering, able to sleep up to 6 people and will be a mix of old and new. Cosy and warm in the winter, a great place to soak up the sun in the summer, perhaps sitting in a hammock reading a book, and all with unbelievable views across the landscape.
We miss you all and hope to see you in 2021…
Meanwhile from us to you – stay safe and take care.
The Coldharbour Team
