We love having children of all ages come to stay at Coldharbour Farm. Its great to see them playing outside in the fresh air, flying kites, playing games and just enjoying themselves. So we have put a few things on this page so you can see what we offer for your amazing kids! Coldharbour Cottage is part of the Families Welcome Scheme operated by Visit England.
What’s to see and do on the Farm for Children
We believe in fresh air, exercise and the great outdoors. We have animals on the farm including 300 Romney Marsh Sheep, Harry the donkey, Sam the black horse and a number of chickens :-). Would you like to help us feed the animals ? How ? Just ask Andrew
Lets go and have fun! there is a Play Area and a Toy Box for the children
We have a cottage garden for the children to play around in, a slide and a toy box full of stuff! Bats, balls, kites, mini croquet and lots more!
We can hire bikes for you, arrange trips for horse riding, swimming or even a trip on one of our Country Tours.
What to do in the Cottage for Children
We have a Kids Corner in the cottage, crafts, colouring books, activity sets as well as a games cupboard – including board games and simple noughts and crosses.
Don’t forget our special Coldharbour Quiz too! Its fun. There is free wifi throughout the cottage as well as TV, DVD and VCR players and a bunch of Dvds and Videos to watch. (if time!)
For those wanting to learn a little about the old farmhouse, how it was used in days past we have some very interesting Educational Panels in each room of the cottage. You can find out about the old lady called Joyce and her funny ways, how the bread was baked in the old oven and plan your walks around the farm using our special maps. Lots to do – and hopefully learn a little too!
